The Messianic Era When Jesus Returns

What Is The Kingdom Of God

This website is dedicated to discussing the Messianic Era, and we will only touch the surface. Our goal is to give some direction and to discuss some of the key points a person should learn about in order to gain understanding of the Kingdom of God.(also known as the Messianic Era): The GospelTorahSabbathPrayer, and The Temple.

What does it mean to accept Jesus?

In order to understand the Kingdom of God, one must understand why we accept Jesus. But what does this mean? The short answer to what does it mean to accept Jesus is, you commit to repent, and you are accepting the Covenants of God. Read more about what it means to accept Jesus. This Podcast gives a great introduction into the Covenants of God and the role of Jesus which will help you understand your role in Messiah.

The Covenant of God, the Temple of God, the Appointed Times, and the Nation of Israel is all at the center of the Kingdom of God. If a person truly believes they are the Temple of God as Paul says in 1 Corinthians 3:16, they will take the time to learn about it, and learn how to connect to the Nation of Israel and find their place in it. This podcast is dedicated to understanding the Messianic Era from the perspective of the Temple:

The Messianic Era – The 1000 Year Reign of Messiah

A Portal to the World to Come

Have you heard about the 1000 year reign of Messiah? Have you considered Jesus can come back any day, or thought about what that means, or what that would look like?  Jesus, the Jewish Messiah that has been recognized by believers all over the world, is coming back to reign as King – on Earth. According to the Bible in Revelation 20 He will reign for 1000 years. He will be looking for those who have given their allegiance to Him and been faithful to His commandments as it states in Revelation 22:7, “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” It says in Jeremiah 33:15, “In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David, and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.”

Revelation 20:4 says, “Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” It states in Zechariah 2:11-12, “And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you. And the Lord will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.”

What It Looks Like When a Jewish King Rules The World According To Scripture

Revelation 20:1-3 states, “Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain. And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended…”

Jeremiah33

Jeremiah 33:14-18 says, “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah. In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; he will do what is just and right in the land. In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety. This is the name by which it will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior. For this is what the Lord says: ‘David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel nor will the Levitical priests ever fail to have a man to stand before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.’”

Ezekiel 44:16-27 explains a lot more about what it will be like for the Levitical Priests during the Messianic Age:

  • They shall enter my sanctuary, and they shall approach my table, to minister to me, and they shall keep my charge.
  • When they enter the gates of the inner court, they shall wear linen garments. They shall have nothing of wool on them, while they minister at the gates of the inner court, and within.
  • They shall have linen turbans on their heads, and linen undergarments around their waists. They shall not bind themselves with anything that causes sweat.
  • And when they go out into the outer court to the people, they shall put off the garments in which they have been ministering and lay them in the holy chambers. And they shall put on other garments, lest they transmit holiness to the people with their garments.
  • They shall not shave their heads or let their locks grow long; they shall surely trim the hair of their heads.
  • No priest shall drink wine when he enters the inner court.
  • They shall not marry a widow or a divorced woman, but only virgins of the offspring of the house of Israel, or a widow who is the widow of a priest.
  • They shall teach my people the difference between the holy and the common, and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.
  • In a dispute, they shall act as judges, and they shall judge it according to my judgments.
  • They shall keep my laws and my statutes in all my appointed feasts, and they shall keep my Sabbaths holy.
  • They shall not defile themselves by going near to a dead person. However, for father or mother, for son or daughter, for brother or unmarried sister they may defile themselves.
  • After he has become clean, they shall count seven days for him. And on the day that he goes into the Holy Place, into the inner court, to minister in the Holy Place, he shall offer his sin offering, declares the Lord God.

The Messianic Era is a period of 1000 years when the Torah Observant Messiah will reign from Jerusalem as King of the entire world. He will make all wrongs right, teach the world the instructions of God, and return all of the Jewish people to Israel

  • There will be immortal people who are identified by Messiah, who are resurrected that will reign with Him for the 1000 years. They will be given authority by the Jewish King to do His will. (1 Corinthians 15:53-55)
  • There will be mortal people who are living at that time facing mortality issues, not resurrected, but who live during the 1000 years. (Isaiah 65:20)
  • There will be mortal people who are not resurrected but they will choose to be righteous. (Zechariah 8:22-23)
  • There will be mortal people who are not resurrected and who choose NOT to be righteous. In fact, Isaiah 65:20 states, you will be considered young if you die at 100 years old.

1 Corinthians 15:53-55 “For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” In Zechariah 2:10-11, “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst, declares the Lord. And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.” Habakkuk 2:14 speaks of a day when everyone will know God as it says, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea”. Hebrews 8:11 says, “No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest”.

Revelation 20:4-6 says, “… They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.” It says in Hosea 2:18-20, “And I will make for them a covenant on that day with the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the creeping things of the ground. And I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land, and I will make you lie down in safety. And I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy. I will betroth you to me in faithfulness. And you shall know the Lord.” It also says in Isaiah 11:6, “The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them.”

People will live normal lives during the Messianic Era, but they will live longer. In Isaiah 65:20 he says, “No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the young man shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed. People who are not a priest will still eat meat. Ezekiel 44:31 states that, “The priests shall not eat of anything, whether bird or beast …”.

Zechariah 8:22-23 says, “Many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts IN JERUSALEM and to entreat the favor of the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”

Our job right now is to be prepared for Jesus coming back, and we are to do this by repenting and seeking the Kingdom of God.  The Gospel Message is: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is near” (Matthew 3:2). The purpose of repentance is to make continual correction in your life by applying what you learn from seeking God. It is a lifelong journey, and you want to be ready when Jesus takes His throne in the Kingdom. For more information about repentance and how to prepare for the Kingdom of God visit www.howdoirepent.org.

You have a place in the Kingdom if you prepare for it, and you will be known in the Kingdom by how you are obedient to God’s instructions right now. Jesus said in Matthew 5:19, “Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

All The Exiles of Israel Will Be Brought Back To Their Land

Amos 9:14-15 says, “I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel, and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine, and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant them on their land, and they shall never again be uprooted out of the land that I have given them, says the Lord your God.”

Jeremiah 16:14-15 says, “Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when it shall no longer be said, As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt, but As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them. For I will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers.”

Ezekiel 36:22-25 says, “Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations to which you came. And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.”

God Will Gather All The Nations Against Jerusalem to Battle

Zechariah 14: 1-16 gives a very good description of what to expect:

  • For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle …
  • On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.
  • Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him …
  • And there shall be a unique day, which is known to the Lord, neither day nor night, but at evening time there shall be light.
  • And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and his name one.
  • Then everyone who survives of all the nations that have come against Jerusalem shall go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Booths.

After Jesus Takes His Throne There Will Be Universal Peace

Zechariah 9:10 says, “I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

Other Scriptures About The Messiah and the Messianic Kingdom Scriptures

After the 1000 Years Jesus Will Give The Kingdom back to God: Then The World To Come

1 Corinthians 15:20-28 “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he “has put everything under his feet.” Now when it says that “everything” has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.”

Revelation 20:7-15 says, “And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” Daniel 12:2 says, “and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt”.

After Jesus leads the world for 1000 years, and everyone learns to serve and worship God as He intended, the World will be a dwelling place for God. The entire world will obey and follow God’s commands, the earth will be perfect, and life will be as it was in the Garden of Eden. As it says in Leviticus 26:2-12, “Observe my Sabbaths and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am the Lord. If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. Your threshing will continue until grape harvest and the grape harvest will continue until planting, and you will eat all the food you want and live in safety in your land. I will grant peace in the land, and you will lie down and no one will make you afraid. I will remove wild beasts from the land, and the sword will not pass through your country. You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you. I will look on you with favor and make you fruitful and increase your numbers, and I will keep my covenant with you. You will still be eating last year’s harvest when you will have to move it out to make room for the new. I will put my dwelling place among you, and I will not abhor you. I will walk among you and be your God, and you will be my people.

People in this world are looking for the perfect life. They want to experience pleasure or excitement, and intense feelings of well-being and happiness. This world has many distractions, false hopes, and false desires. The only way that everyone will experience what they truly desire internally, is when God returns and is dwelling here as He did when Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden.

When the things of this world fade away, and the truth is fully revealed, people will desire to know more of God. Until that time, He can only be fully known by faith (believing in a world where He is hidden and not revealed.) We only get this chance to know God in a world where He is not fully revealed. When this life is over, God will be fully revealed to all, and there will be no more faith. Those who choose to know Him in this world by faith will truly know Him. As Paul said in Romans 2:5-11, everyone will be rewarded based on their effort and will understand that our true reward is to only know God. Those who did not choose to seek Him will never be able to get this experience again for all eternity. Daniel 12:10 says, “Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined, but the wicked shall act wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand, but those who are wise shall understand”. As Jesus states in Mark 4:20, “Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop —some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.” You can learn more about knowing God by reading the Gospel Message.

Here is also a video with Pastor Lancaster that offers a good explanation of what the Kingdom of God is all about.
